Governing Body
As with all schools, Anston Park Junior School's Governing Body is made up of representatives of the Local Authority, parents, teachers and members of the local community. The Governors are responsible for the general direction of the school. They take decisions concerning staffing, curriculum and finance.
The Governors meet as a whole group at least once each term to discuss the needs and achievements of the school. The headteacher prepares a report which is discussed at the meeting.
The Governing Body is also divided into smaller groups which meet regularly each with a nominated chair. Minutes and agenda of Governing Body meetings are available on request.
For more information about the governing body - or to express an interest in becoming involved please contact the Chair of Governors, Mrs Sandra Waterfield, care of the school office.
Alternatively you can click here to visit the ParentCentre website's section giving details about school's governing bodies and their roles - there are also links to other pages with information about governors and how to become one.
